Maxida Märak is a courageous protest yoiker who has carved out a reputation for herself in the struggle against the mining industry in Sápmi.  With honest and politically charged lyrics, she is known for often giving “too much”, rather than too little. She will be coming to Rockheim with a new EP in her pocket and a brand new live routine.

SlinCraze started with music and rap when he was just 14 years old. His lyrics revolve around how life as a Sámi can be in the face of prejudices and racism. The message SlinCraze communicates is peace, love and acceptance, regardless of religion, culture or sexual orientation!

With political lyrics and a unique and striking vocal technique, the Finnish-Sámi rapper Ailu Valle has created quite a sensation. He raps about how the western way of life is destroying nature and the Sámi’s existence. Valle will be accompanied by the live band Trio Boogiemen.

The event is being supported by the Sámediggi and the Nordic Culture Fund.
